Dr. Chaudhry was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and was the third of four siblings. He stayed near home for undergraduate education and completed a 4-year degree at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH before going off to Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherland-Antilles.
In 2006, Dr. Chaudhry moved to Rochester, Minnesota to begin his surgical training at the Mayo Clinic. Here he also completed a 2-year Clinical Investigator program in basic science and presented my work at multiple national meetings. During residency he was awarded the Hungry Dog award twice for outstanding clinical work. After surgical residency, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio for one year to complete a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He published multiple peer-reviewed articles during my fellowship.
Dr. Chaudhry now serves as the Medical Director of the Metabolic and Weight-Loss Institute at Bay Area Regional Medical Center in Webster, TX. Recently, he was awarded the Best Bariatric Surgeon in the Bay Area by the Bay Area Citizen, a local newspaper. He am an active member of the Clear Lake Islamic Center. He am also a member of the Mayo Fellows Association, American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons. His hobbies include physical fitness and playing golf. He says the two most important aspects of his life are God and family.
